Planking with rubyvioletroses

I shall begin by saying that while you view this blog post, it is required that you listen to this while doing so.

Alright! Let's begin, shall we?

The friday before last, my best friend (ClassicPiano12) and I had a sleepover which included planking, Blair Witches, and Butterbeer. View our escapades below!

Chair planking!

Table planking!

 Ottoman planking!

Deep freezer planking!

 Chair planking!

Washing machine planking!

 Bathtub planking!

 Soloflex planking!

Upright planking!

Funny faces, dancing, and BFF poses!

BUTTERBEER! The (non alcoholic) recipe we used is right here.

It was delicious, by the way.

We attempted to watch The Blair Witch Project, but I chickened out. Sorry, Mel! Maybe this Friday? Instead, we watched a Wes Craven movie called My Soul To Take. One of my favorites!

The next morning...

 Stone wall planking!
(PS: Don't worry about that "private property" sign. No laws were broken that weekend.)

Swingset planking!

All in all, it was an AWESOME weekend. That's all for now, folks!
By the way, this is all made by rubyvioletroses!

September 11: A blog

Many people remember 9/11 as two airplanes hitting the World Trade Center (twin towers) in New York, hitting the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and hitting rural Pennsylvania, near Shanksville. I remember it as fear.
Sure, I was only three years old at the time, but terrorist attacks hitting the USA can scar many people, and I am one of them.
You may know some people or be related to some people that died from this, maybe among the 2,985 people that died.
When I was three, I took dance lessons. One of my friends at my dance school's dad died in 9/11. When I was told that later when I was able to understand what that means, I felt unhappy. I never could imagine my mom or dad die, because even though I do live with  my mom, I couldn't live without my dad, either.
So, I want everyone who reads this to take a moment of silence in remembering 9/11. Thank you and have a great day!

Guest Poster: RubyVioletRoses

This is my best friend, RubyVioletRoses! We decided to swap posts for a summer blog! See her blog at www.rubyvioletroses.blogspot.com.

Summer has always been an important time for me. I was born smack dab in the middle of July (the 15th for those of you that fail at math), right in the thick of everything. Summer has been the time of year where I examine myself, unearthing bits and pieces of myself that I never noticed or never knew existed. When we read Tuck Everlasting in sixth grade, something clicked in my head and I immediately loved it. My favorite part is at the very beginning, where time is first compared to a wheel. I'm not going to quote the entire paragraph, just the part that really struck home with me.

"...the first week of August is motionless and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank whit dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color. Often at night there is lightning, but it quivers alone. There is no thunder, no relieving rain. These are strange and breathless days, the dog days, when people are led to do things that they are sure to be sorry for after."

As a Cancer, I'm emotional by nature, and this passage appeals to the wide range of emotions that you can experience in three short months. When I read that book for the first time, I wanted to feel those emotions, I wanted to do the things that the characters did.

Summer has always been a part of my life, a part of me, and always will be.

Why is it...

Why is it every time I wake up in the morning I automatically look for my stuffed animal?
Why is it I think lunch is more important than making up my bed?
Why is it that the highlight of my day is putting soap on my loofah?
Why is it that the highlight of my night is going to sleep?
Why is it....?
These are the questions that I wonder...
And they are all true.

The young and the Katie

This is my Pomeranian named Katie. She is  9 months old and she's a cutie! She is super playful and very sweet. Whenever she sees a new person, she jumps on them and licks them to death!

History Movie!

Okay, so I am not a big fan of history movies, but my all-time favorite history movie is Schindler's List. All the other ones I have seen include Master In Commander (which I fell asleep when I watched it) and some ones that I have watched in my Social Studies classes! I did like America: This History of Us but that wasn't really a movie. Have fun and happy blogging!
